Mike Dunn - System Operator

I became a certified “Small Water System” operator in 2023 after our previous operator Bill Taylor retired and moved away to Prince Rupert.

My main duties with the CDWUS water system is to take monthly water sampling, water use monitoring and keeping the Directors informed of any problems I observe in the system.

Maintaining certification as a SWS operator requires continual training and I normally attend 2-3 training sessions per year to keep updated on changes in the new “Water Act” and other topic’s such as water quality, disinfection and water conservation to name a few.

I also serve as the president of the CDWUS. I am also fortunate to have some long term residents that at are directors with the water system. We are extremely fortunate to have great potable water which does not have to be treated with filters or chlorine products. Enjoy the water and please maintain your household water fixtures to prevent drinking water wastage.
